NDT technician
NDT (non-destructive testing) technicians record the testing performed on welds — radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), and related methods — and map that testing to the welds it covers using film intervals.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Log a film interval — a section of an NDT film strip — and map it to one or more welds.
- Record radiograph logs and NDT results against the welds they cover.
- Keep the NDT record aligned with the welds on each ISO.
Core guides
Section titled “Core guides”- Log a film interval — record a radiograph film interval against the welds it covers.
Related concepts
Section titled “Related concepts”- A film interval maps a length of film to the welds it captures, so each weld’s NDT coverage is traceable.
- NDT results contribute to a weld’s acceptance and to the quality record of its test package.
