Home is the screen most people land on after signing in — the project’s work queue, not a dashboard of charts. It answers one question: what needs my attention right now?
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Home needs a resolved project — if you have access to more than one, pick one from the project switcher first. Everything on the page is scoped to that project.
The work queue
Section titled “The work queue”The “Work queue — what needs you now” card lists five counts, worst first:

Each line carries an icon and a soft status chip — Action needed (red), Pending (amber), or Queued (slate) — so severity never depends on color alone. A line at zero de-escalates to a green Clear chip and sinks to the bottom of the list; everything still outstanding sorts worst first, then by whatever your active layout preset (below) emphasizes.
Project weld status
Section titled “Project weld status”Below the work queue, a single stacked bar summarizes every active weld in the project — Accepted, Pending, In repair, and Open rejects — with the headline accepted percentage beside it and a count legend underneath. Voided welds are excluded from both the bar and the percentage, so voiding a weld never inflates your numbers.
Diameter inches earned
Section titled “Diameter inches earned”Beside the project weld status band, a card reports the project’s earned Diameter Inch (DI) — the industry pipe-fabrication productivity unit (see the glossary). The headline is inches earned, credited once per made-good joint, with the percentage of the project’s eligible weld set beneath it. A short trend strip shows recent earned progress. Two smaller figures — rework (diameter-inches on repair welds) and open rejects — are shown separately and are never added into the earned total. The percentage is against the current eligible weld set, not a project plan or budget baseline. This is the same number shown on the weld matrix’s status rollup for any ISO in the project.
This card needs a server connection — unlike the work queue and weld status band above it, it isn’t backed by your device’s offline data. If you’re offline, it shows a retry notice instead of a number; the rest of Home keeps working as usual.
Layout preset
Section titled “Layout preset”The segmented control in the page header — QC manager, NDT coordinator, or Foreman — is a curated choice, not a freeform layout builder. Selecting one changes two things: which work queue lines are visually promoted to the top, and which tab of the Recent panel (below) opens by default.

Setup checklist
Section titled “Setup checklist”Administrators see an additional project-setup checklist above the work queue while any step is incomplete — it self-retires once every step reads Done. Each step deep-links to the screen that fixes it:

A step reading Needs attention (amber) is actionable now — for example, a pending invite or an expiring welder qualification; To do (gray) means the step hasn’t been started. The checklist is collapsible, and its collapsed state is remembered per project. Non-administrators don’t see this card.
If the project has no reference data or custom fields loaded at all, Home replaces the work queue with a “Let’s get this project set up” prompt instead — select Go to Admin to begin.
Jump back in
Section titled “Jump back in”A tabbed Recent panel at the bottom of the page has two tabs:
- Jump back in — the ISOs you’ve recently opened, so you can return to one with a click.
- Recent activity — reserved for a future project-activity feed; today it shows an honest empty state rather than fabricated activity.
