Inspector

Inspectors review welds and record the results of inspection, driving each weld through its status lifecycle. As an inspector you work mostly with welds and their status, against the ISO drawings they belong to: you review the welds assigned for inspection on an ISO, record an inspection result — accept a weld, reject it, or mark it for repair — and follow a rejected weld through the repair workflow until it is resolved.

  • Weld status lifecycle — the statuses a weld moves through (Pending, Accepted, Rejected, Repair, and Voided) and the rules between them.
  • Test packages & sign-off — where inspection results eventually feed: quality certification and the test package a weld belongs to.
